Warm it first, either in your hands or under a warm tap, since cold TPR is unpleasant and entirely avoidable. Be generous with water based lubricant. Clean it by flushing warm water and mild soap through the canal, then squeeze rather than shake the water out and let it dry completely. Storing it out of sunlight and away from heat is what keeps the material soft over a year rather than stiffening it.

Latex free is the specification that matters if anyone in the house has an allergy, and it rules out most of the cheaper strokers on a shelf. Getting that alongside a proper cast rather than a generic tube is unusual at this price.
