Rouge Bamboo Cane

Twenty nine inches of natural bamboo with a rounded handle. Bamboo is the traditional cane material for a reason: it is light, it is stiff along its length, and it carries speed at the tip in a way no synthetic rod reproduces.

Caning is the least forgiving form of impact play and this is not the tool to learn on without practice. Work on a cushion until you can land it exactly where you are aiming every single time. Keep strikes to the backside and the upper thighs and never near the spine, kidneys, tailbone or anywhere bony. Build up in small steps. Store it hanging or flat so it keeps its line, and check it for splinters before every use.

Synthetic canes are consistent and lifeless. Natural bamboo has a flex and a report to it that is the whole reason this remains the classic, and a rounded handle is what makes it controllable.
