Rouge Wooden Handle Leather Riding Crop

A crop is about accuracy rather than force, so practise on a cushion until you can land it where you are aiming. Feathered strips land softer than a flat tongue, which makes this a reasonable crop to start with. Keep strikes to the backside and thighs and never near the face, neck, kidneys or spine. A rounded wooden handle stays comfortable over a long session. Wipe the leather down afterwards and hang it rather than leaving it bent.
