Velcro closures are what make this manageable on your own: on easily, off in one pull, no buckles to find in the dark. Set the cuffs before clipping anything to the ring, and decide how much slack you want while everyone is still comfortable. A hog tie is a demanding position, so keep sessions short at first and never leave anyone alone in one. Wipe the cuffs down after use and let them dry fully.
